All of our foods feature a short list of the world’s best organic superfood ingredients, without any fillers such as legumes, lentils, peas, soy, corn, wheat, gluten, or grain.

Smack chicken diets are made from Manitoba free-range chicken. Our chicken is bone-in, with organs, raised without the use of hormones, antibiotics, drugs, or preservatives. Our wild BC salmon is bone-in, with organs, and is not treated with preservatives such as ethoxyquin. Our Prairie Harvest Pork (Super Food for Dogs) and Purrfect Pork (Super Food for Cats) recipes feature bone-in Manitoba Pork which includes all the tasty bits dogs and cats love and need like heart, liver, tongue, kidneys, and spleen!

• Blackberry: Our Canadian-grown organic GMO-free blackberry contains high amounts of ellagic acid, a phytochemical known to be a powerful anti-cancer fighter that also reduces oxidative stress. Rated the 2nd highest antioxidant concentration for all US foods, based on “common serving sizes”. Blackberry’s high tannin content tightens tissues, has antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties, and helps relieve intestinal inflammation and diarrhea
• Spinach: Smack Pet Food uses organic GMO-free spinach grown on Canadian farms. Recent studies have shown that glycoclycerolipids in spinach help protect the lining of the digestive tract from damage – especially damage related to inflammation. In a recent study, out of 9 vegetables, including kale, spinach was the only one to show evidence of significant protection against certain aggressive and early stage cancers. This is due to unusually high amounts of epoxyxanthophylls found in the leaves of spinach. Research of spinach has also linked improved eye-health and consumption of spinach, especially the reduction of macular degeneration and other age-related eye problems.
• Blueberry: Our Canadian-grown organic GMO-free blueberries are a delicious, benefit-rich berry. Studies on blueberries have shown that including them in your dogs' diet may improve functional night vision, improve learned movement behaviour, improve memory and increase exploratory behaviour!
• Coconut: Smack Pet Food uses organic GMO-free coconut grown in the sunny Philippines. In traditional medicine, coconut is widely used to address inflammation, upset stomach, ulcers, skin infections, asthma, and more. Studies of coconut in modern medicine have proven that coconut can in fact help the body kill infections, viruses, fungi, expel tapeworms, lice, and other parasites. Coconut also helps improve digestion and increase the rate of absorption of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. Coconut relieves symptoms of ulcerative colitis, stomach ulcers, reduces inflammation, and improves immune function as well as improves thyroid function.
• Mango: Our organic GMO-free mangoes grown on certified organic farms in Mexico, are a delicious, low-acid fruit known to reduce the risk of cancer. They also contain a high amount of dietary fiber, improving the digestive health of your dog and also reduce the risk of gastrointestinal disorders known to occur in dogs with a low fiber diet. These dietary fibers also increase the rate of absorption of vitamins and minerals in a dogs' intestines. Mangoes' unique dietary fiber benefits are not shared with the dietary fibers of grains.
• Parsley: Smack Pet Food uses organic GMO-free curly parsley grown in Canada. Parsley is a known chemoprotective food. What this means is that it has shown, in animal studies to inhibit tumor formation and even neutralize carcinogens! Furthermore, parsley has shown to increase antioxidant capacity of the blood! Parsley also contains a high amount of Vitamin C, which fights against free-radicals in all water-soluble areas of the body further reducing the development and progression of a wide variety of diseases.
• Carrot: Smack Pet Food uses organic GMO-free carrots grown in Canada. The 3 main areas of benefits related to consumption of carrots are: Vision Health, Cancer Fighting, and Cardiovascular Health. According to a new, 10-year long study, carrots were shown to be the most effective food for reducing cardiovascular disease when consumed in regular, "low" amounts. In studies on the risk of cataracts in animals, geranyl acetate, a substance in carrots, was repeatedly shown to reduce the risk of cataracts. • Pineapples: Smack uses organic GMO-free pineapple grown on certified organic farms in Costa Rica. Pineapple contain high amounts of a complex substance called bromelain, which facilitates in protein digestion. However, the benefits don’t stop there!
